Library Facilities
LIBRARY FACILITIES
Use
The use of library facilities, materials, and staff services shall be extended equally to every member of the community.
As the library is the property of the City and the taxpayers, each library patron is expected to exercise reasonable care in the use of the facilities, as with any other public property, remembering obligations to fellow citizens for their use of the same facilities.
Provision and Maintenance
The City and the librarian accept the responsibility to provide an attractive, orderly, functional atmosphere, suited to the use generally made of libraries.
Adequate space for movement of all patrons and staff and sufficient seating will be provided for library clientele.
Meeting Room
The meeting room will be available to civic, cultural, governmental and educational groups which are non-political and non-sectarian in nature. No admission fees may be charged. The room may not be reserved by denominational groups or commercial groups where items are sold for profit. Meetings sponsored by the library or an approved non-profit educational group or institution for short-term classes, discussion groups or forums may charge fees for materials used in their classes.
All meetings on library property will be open to the public.
The library and the City of Muleshoe will at all times have priority on the use of its meeting room or any area of the library, and will not reserve use of any area of the library when such meetings would interfere with the normal functions of the library.
Please clean up after using meeting room.
Meetings must be held during library hours.
